Scott Norton (Class of 1976) has fond memories of growing up in the Valley and attending James Monroe High School—memories built on lasting friendships and a strong sense of community. Inspired by the success of small scholarships raised by his class at recent reunions, Scott joined forces with fellow mid-’70s graduates Lora Bernardi Saavedra and Rob Bernardi, 2019 alum Max Jimenez, and longtime supporter Sheridan Smith to create the JMHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Their mission is simple but powerful: to provide annual scholarships and financial assistance to deserving Monroe seniors—while exploring other opportunities to give back and support the school that shaped them.
